While living in the Orlando suburb of Kissimmee, Florida in 2015, Ryan Reese noticed that Kissimmee lacked any form of youth oriented art community; in person and online. So he formed the Facebook group Kissimmee Underground Artists, centered around the idea of connecting with other local artists who didn’t have any sort of platform where they could display and share their work. Now that there was an online meeting place for these local underground artists, the group page took off, gaining almost 500 members overnight. Once Kissimmee Underground Artists was featured in Kissimmee’s local newspaper the Osceola News-Gazette, the page gained even more members. With this, Ryan saw an opportunity to create a standalone website where he could feature these new emerging artists as online content. So he created One92.com, and a platform was born. One92 has since expanded into one of Central Florida’s freshest local art & culture blogs.
